They serve awesome fast foods ....I just love it.
Recently I bought home snacks from Sampa Snacks and it's very good for the price. They serve fish fingers at 15 rupees per piece, which are of good quality. Egg chicken roll costs 50 rupees, which is extremely affordable too. Would definitely order food from here again.
Visited this place,5th Dec 2016
Got Momos. They were delicious. Even though the covering was falling apart, it was thin and had chunks of chicken in them which were delicious too. At this price its valuable. They might take some time for making this if its not prepared before you visit. Soup can be reddish, yellowish or white(not consistent daily).
One of my favourite places. And im a fan of this outset since childhood. Outdoor seating and very easy to locate as its just opposite to the famous Addya Kali temple. No ambiance, crowded place , even hard to cross the road. The prices are sufficient along with their quantity and quality. Only place near my house, where i find my favourite Fish Butter Fry. Previously it tastd good but nw its dull. Chk Fried Rice is yum yum along with Chilli chickn. Singapore chk rice is also good. Their chops, fish fry,chk cutlet taste fair. Being close to my house, have their rolls regularly and i love it. just that ur not safe while its raining but pocket friendly.
These joint is serving good food in the area for many years... I love there chowmin, fried rice, chilli chicken etc... there chops are also tasty... nothing to describe about there deco, staffs and service... as they don't bother about that... pocket pinch was very friendly...
the foods are good...i like chiken masala nd chiken rezala of them.otherwise they also make good chiken chowmin..
I had visit this takeaway counter around 2 months back this counter situated near kasba post office area I ordered egg roll and gold coin.... Food quality not so bad it's average... TR taking too much time to delivery order... everything is okh..
This picture sums up my Saturday evening.
The irony of the picture hit me hard after I clicked it.
So here I was relishing a good old chicken mughlai parantha from Sampa Snacks, Ruby in what seem to be after an eternity with @pouchongsauce green chili sauce lying in the vicinity and my picture of Neil Island, Andaman (from December 2019) was on the desktop background while a wireless landline telephone lay at the fag end.
It must have been years since I had a mughlai parota. It's a go to snack for a 90's kid living in Calcutta which was the greatest luxury of my childhood. I remember we would get this at a shop which sold fish fries, cutlets, vegetable chops and had a telephone booth alongwith it which was my chief attraction as a kid.
Telephone booths are long gone and you simply can't get the joy of watching people queue up for a 1 minute telephone call anymore. And you certainly can't get those old mughlai parotas at 20-30 INR. Those have evaporated with the turn of the century.
However, you can still barter your way into the past with an 80 rupee parota in places like these brought to your home by a delivery guy. The telephone booth queues have given away to ATM queues and delivery boys queues in 2021. I wonder what they speak about, what they dream in. Maybe, that's what a kid will write about 32 years later.
Maybe I will write a short story on this one day.
Till then enjoy the aloo torkari that comes with your mughlai porota. That's the bonus of life without which it won't hallucinate you.
(P.S. They put tandoori pieces of chicken inside the parota. The picture only has half of it. There are 4 pieces of it along with the aloo curry)
