Taste was good. Ambience, I was thinking if it can have that old town vibe, because I have observed it got refurbished. Could have been of heritage value.
We ordered prawn chettinadu and squid pepper fry.
Side with roti and jeera rice.
Overall had a good experice.
The Dragon prawns is a must try here if you want to try prawns and love spicy food. Try Prawn biryani as well

Went with the entire family who are all sea food lovers and everything we ordered was brilliant....lobster, pomfret, prawns, Mahi Mahi fish, crab lollipops....quick service and great taste...for all ages and spice as per request...so a sumptuous meal....highly recommended for sea food lovers.
For lunch i visted this place, and regret the fact that i havent been here before, if you are in pondicherry and seafood lover you cant afford to miss this restaurant.

For starters :we ordered butter garlic prawns, which was cooked to perfection and sauce was too perfect.
Main course : i had lobster grilled in costal spices
2. Red snapper pan seared in butter garlic sauce
3. Mahi mahi in pesto sauce.
All dishes were seemed to cooked with not just skills but with lot of love and warmth, because they were like a dream. The hotel on its blavk board have fresh catch written, we can select way of cooking and sauce in whicj we want preparation and they also show you fish and then weigh it. Price is determined on the basis of weight. Highly recommended for seafood lovers

I am on my way back to Chennai and in a hurry just tasted chicken biryani here but I will definitely taste sea food next time when I visit pondy. Ambience is awesome. One of the best place to taste sea food which I can say by the dishes I have seen during my stay even though I didn't tasted.
A quaint cafe on the Bussy Road, MG Road near White Town, this place is renowned for its seafood and non-vegetarian dishes. You can choose from a variety of fish, prawns, and crabs cooked and presented to perfection. The service is friendly and efficient, but be prepared for a bit of a wait on the weekends, as the cafe is quite popular. A must-visit for seafood lovers.

The best seafood you'll find in Pondicherry. We ordered lobster in butter garlic sauce, grilled Red Snapper, squids and crab balls. Every single dish was outstanding. And so reasonable ...our total bill was under 2k!!!! Special mention crab lollipops which were fried yet not oily, the crust was super thin and crispy with generous crab filling. I'd highly recommend having a meal at De Bluefin because you don't want to miss this heavenly food experience.
At first I thought it was going to be a very big place. I was expecting the price to be very expensive, but it was pocket friendly.
We even get to select our own seafood item before they cook. It was a nice experience experience for a budget friendly restaurant.

Live crab and live lobster is highly recommended. Singapore style flavour for crab and coastal spices flavour for the lobster is the best.
We tried crab chettinad , pulka and ghee roti , the crab masala was very tasty. A must try item! But the bread was not tasty , and the quantity of bread was very poor. In the menu card 1 pulka is for 30 rs . And they provide 2 pieces. But the reality is a pulka is half the size of roti. In my opinion the crab chettinad was awesome and in the case of bread , the taste and quantity was very poor.
And the ambience was also nice.

But in dinner we had chettinad crab... And I must say it was the best dish I ate in pondicherry!! I even called the chef out to thank him for the food! ❤💞💯

Myself and my friend together looked for a good seafood restaurant and we ended up visiting De Bluefin today. The restaurant had a Very good Ambience. Greeted well and the staff showed good hospitality. We loved the food there!!!
The cost of food is very nominal and a perfect place for a seafood lover.
Fish Polichadhu - Taste superb and the fish was soo fresh and good in taste.
Coastal prawn - Spicy prawn fry and the masala was very good.
Squid Pepper fry - Loved so much.
Prawn Briyani - Really loved the flavour and the prawns were cooked in proper consistency.
Along with these we tried dragon fish and lobster bites, which didn't disappoint us. Those are also good in taste.
On the whole we enjoyed the whole meal. Would Really recommend if you want to have some good sea food servings. We had Tried many around the city and this is one among the best. We had crossed this road many times, but we hadn't noticed this restaurant. We found it through online digging. So i would tag this restaurant as a Hidden Gem. Do visit and Enjoy your meal. Enjoy with your friends and of course, Highly recommended for families also.
